How to reach the venue

BY PLANE

Sardinia is connected to the main Italian and European cities with its 3 airports: Cagliari (Elmas) – 58 km (36 mi) from Chia, Olbia (Costa Smeralda) – 323 km (200 mi) from Chia, Alghero (Fertilia) – 286 km (178 mi) from Chia.

Main connections are with airports in Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Spain, Israel, Luxembourg, Portugal, Russia, and Switzerland.

The airport and port of Cagliari are the ideal locations to reach Chia easily in about 1 hour, both by car and with public transportation.

How to reach the venue from Cagliari Airport

As you leave the airport, drive towards Cagliari and, at the roundabout, take Via dei Trasvolatori and turn right towards SS 130. After about 1 km (0.62 mi) take a right onto SS 195-racc, towards Domus De Maria.

Go straight ahead for 50 km (31 mi) up to the exit for Chia, then turn left.

Follow this road for 5 km, then you will find the Chia Laguna Resort on the right.

BY FERRY

Sardinia is connected with the main cities of Italy and the Mediterranean through a dense network of year-long and seasonal ferry connections with its main ports: Cagliari, Olbia, Golfo Aranci, and Porto Torres.

The port of Cagliari – the most suitable to easily reach the Chia Laguna – is the most important in Southern Sardinia, offering connections with the ports of Civitavecchia (Rome), Naples, Palermo, and Trapani, all managed by Tirrenia ferries.

How to reach the venue from the Port of Cagliari

From the Port of Cagliari, you will enter Viale la Playa. Immediately take the SS 195 towards Pula. Go straight for 45 km up to the exit for Chia then turn left. Follow this road for 5 km, then you will find the Chia Laguna Resort on the right.

BY CAR

To reach the tourist location of Chia from Cagliari, you need to take the SS 195 starting from the port (in Via Roma) and running parallel to the sea, touching all the locations of the southwest coast of Sardinia. After about 43 km (27 mi) you will find the exit for Chia: it is the gateway to the SS 19 (one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Italy), which continues towards the spectacular beaches of Chia.

Main distances: Cagliari – 50 km (31 mi), Olbia – 325 km (202 mi), Sassari – 265 km (165 mi), Alghero – 290 km (180 mi), Pula – 18 km (11.2 mi), Domus de Maria – 6 km (3.7 mi), Teulada – 20 km (12.4 mi).
